Corona Virus Issues. We will be offering both Corona Virus vaccines from the 12th July. Patients aged 40-60 will be prioritised until increased supplies become available. We will continue to offer vaccines for >60yrs. Diabetics of all ages above 16yrs are welcome.
VACCINATIONS: Bookings for the COVID-19 vaccine are now open. Please use the eligibility checker to confirm your status before making the booking. NO ONLINE BOOKINGS are available. Vaccine supply has improved and we have minimal waiting time. Immunisations may not be available during a normal consultation time. Phone 33516444 to secure your appointment.
We will hold two-hour immunisation clinics each weekday, administering as many vaccines as we have been supplied. These clinics will be for anyone although adult Diabetics, and those with severe chronic heart, lung, renal and liver disease will be given priority. Patient's over 60 years will continue to be offered the vaccine appropriate for this age range as this vaccine has proven efficacy and safety. Priority for the newly supplied vaccine will be given to patients aged 40- 60 years as well as to younger Diabetics.
Please Note: Only those who are informed and definitely want the vaccine will be accepted in these clinics. Anyone who has reservations about the vaccine and wishes more information and reassurance will be encouraged to make a normal consultation appointment.

Our Practice offers a broad range of services in family medicine, women's health, skin cancer surgery and musculoskeletal medicine.
The Practice Principal, Dr. Neil Hearnden has been involved since the opening of the practice in 1980 and he is supported by a talented Australian-trained team of GP's with a wide range of skills. Dr. Hearnden has achieved a Master's of Medicine degree from the University of Queensland in the area of Skin Cancer Medicine. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine.
Associate Professor Dr. Michael Yelland, has been extensively involved in the education and training of medical students and GP registrars. He continues to offer special skills in the diagnosis, treatment and management of painful musculoskeletal disorders, a skill for which he has international recognition. He holds a Ph.D. and a Graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine. He is an immediate past president of the Australasian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine.
Dr. Lauren-Phoebe Nielsen has a Diploma of Child Health as well as the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. She provides "the gentle touch" bringing youthful enthusiasm and fresh ideas to the practice. Her special focus is on the health of women in our community, family planning, exercise and nutrition. She is now offering the LARC intrauterine contraceptive device (progesterone containing IUD) from January 2020.
Dr. Mitchell White holds a Masters's degree in Epidemiology and has completed his GP Fellowship exam. He will remain a full-time associate of the Practice. He is the father of two young children and a dutiful spouse to his medical wife. He has a true love for General Practice.
Joining us for 2021 is Dr. Jennifer Garlick who is completing her GP Specialist training with us. She is well versed in the world of Medicine with her Grandfather, Mother, and Father all being medical practitioners.
Our full-time Practice Nurse Tracy Ivey RN provides wound care, immunisations and care coordination, assisted by our EN Merindah Turner
The practice has attained the 4th round of General Practice Accreditation and is one of the select few “Category A” practices which train new Doctors who are entering General Practice after their intense hospital-based training. Medical Students also are invited to attend the practice as part of their educational experience as well. In turn, they help to keep the practice up to date with modern teachings. The Practice is equipped with efficient "cloud-ready" computerised medical records and electronic prescription writing. Secure encrypted messaging assists in ensuring the accuracy of referrals, radiology and pathology results.
