Fees

We are a private billing practice

Payment at the time of consultation is required and Medicare refunds are processed on the spot.

Is Bulk billing available?

Bulk billing is available only to eligible patients between 10am & 4pm with Dr Neil Hearnden, Dr Alex Williams:

  • School aged children aged 15 years and under;
  • Over 75 years on an eligible Chronic Condition Management Plan and current health assessment in place.

DVA Gold card holders are bulk billed. Please ensure you bring your Senior Aged Pension Card to the appointment to be sighted by reception staff, otherwise bulk-billing may not apply.

Online Claiming

If you have your bank account details registered with Medicare, we can send your claim through on-line and your rebate will be paid into your account within 24-48 hours. If you would prefer to claim your Medicare rebate yourself, a receipt can be printed.

Gap Fee

In order to maintain high standards of equipment and facilities, all procedural work such as excisions, fracture care, and wound sutures, will attract a gap fee. This fee will vary according to the complexity and length of the procedure. The maximum gap is $150 per single procedure.

Pre-booked long consultations for counselling purposes, musculoskeletal therapy, medical reports or assessments, as well as complete yearly physical checkups, will similarly attract extra fees.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend your appointment, we respectfully request a minimum of 2 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment without giving the required notice, a non-refundable private fee of $50 (Standard appointment) or $100 (Long appointment) will apply.

Dr Lauren-Phoebe Nielsen’s cancellation policy is within 24 hours  with full appointment fees applying for non-attendance and late cancellations within this time.

New patients who do not attend their consult without prior notice cannot be booked for another appointment.

This fee is not refunded by Medicare.
